Kehillat Masada is a modern orthodox (Ashkenazi) synagogue. Our synagogue contains about 420 families (as at December 1997.) The synagogue was founded just over 13 years ago on the Masada College campus. The synagogue was built in 1990 and officially opened and consecrated by Rav Immanuel Jakobovits (former Chief Rabbi of the British Commonwealth). Rabbi David Freedman joined the community in 1988 from London UK. Many of the community came originally from South Africa.
