A special vote of thanks to Bernie De Jongh, the Australian Journal of Human Rights, Naomi Jones, Rosalind Tarszisz and Ben Stitz who supported us through the whole demonstration of the Jewish internet held today at the Multi-Media Fair at The Great Synagogue.
In particular JOIN thanks Bernie De Jongh for lending, setting up and supervising the fabulous projector. You will appreciate Bernie's generosity of spirit even more in the knowledge that he takes off for a month overseas tomorrow during which time his daughter will be getting married in Seattle. We wish Bernie and his family a big mazeltov, a wonderful simcha, relaxing holiday and a safe return.
A big thank you, too, to The Australian Journal of Human Rights (if you are interested in this publication please email email@example.com) who lent us the essential laptop computer.
JOIN Webmaster, Naomi J., also gave more of her valuable time in setting up the laptop and printing out some flyers. Naomi your efforts are sincerely appreciated - we are the luckiest people to have your help.
Cheers, too, to Ros Tarszisz for browsing the web and encouraging people to vote for JOIN. It was a pleasure to watch Ros showing a little girl all about Noah's Ark after grandpa, originally from Odessa, had eagerly followed the latest news of Swiss restitution.
Our team profile was also lifted by Ben Stitz who not only demonstrated his Rosetta Stone hebrew software (go to JOIN's A-Z of Australian/Jewish internet sites to learn more) but helped net surfers, handed out brochures and showed true community spirit.
Thanks as well to the other JOINers such as Paul Reti, Judie Cross and Judie Singer who came over to see how they might help.
It was also particularly pleasant to meet some of the people who were previously just screen names, to say hello to other JOINers and give a big welcome to new JOIN member George Gunsberger.
